The Forum was organized by Right Start Foundation International (RSFI) and The International Dialogue Centre based in Vienna (KAICIID) in partnership with ISESCO and the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM).

Thematic workshops and training included: Institutions role in promoting harmony; Campaigns and lobbying for peace and harmony; The role of NGOs and Partnership working; Developing innovative activities of social action; Project and activity management.

The participants also visited local community projects and initiatives, as well as historical and touristic sites, and took part in a cultural night which aimed at strengthening the friendship between them.

Objectives

  1. Bring youth and stakeholders together to share ideas, experiences and practical working partnerships
  2. Discuss typical challenges in the relevant sector/theme and possible practical solutions for youth to work on through activities and projects

Outcome

The Forum
  • Launched the ACWAY initiative
  • Training on Interreligious dialogue and activity planning
  • Thematic workshops on challenges and solutions for working in the interfaith sector
  • Drafting of the ACWAY Charter for Peace
  • Designed and selected the ACWAY Activities Campaign title for the UN World Interfaith Harmony Week 2016
