This report documents the inaugural G20 Youth Interfaith Forum (YIF20), held in Bologna, Italy in September 2021. Organized by A Common Word Among the Youth (ACWAY) as Global Youth Partner to the G20 Interfaith Forum, the event brought together 47 young interfaith practitioners from 30 countries and 12 faith traditions.
The forum focused on empowering youth-led interfaith activism through skills-based workshops, critical dialogue sessions, and collaborative networking. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions around peacebuilding, multicultural understanding, and practical tools for interfaith action in their local communities.
Key outcomes include the development of a Youth Policy Brief presented to G20 partners, the launch of the Interfaith Development Goals (IDGs) initiative, and the formation of a global network of young interfaith leaders committed to driving positive change.
With 94% of participants finding the forum highly valuable and inspiring, this report showcases how youth-led interfaith dialogue can effectively address global challenges and foster cross-cultural solidarity in an increasingly divided world.
