Jyuri Michino is an education and youth engagement specialist with extensive experience in international programme management across interfaith, multilateral, and cross-cultural contexts. She currently serves as Programme Manager at an international organization in Japan.

Jyuri has been engaged in interfaith work since 2015, when she joined the inaugural cohort of ACWAY Fellows. Over the past decade, her involvement has evolved from participant to organiser and now Executive Committee member, where she supports participant engagement and monitoring and evaluation.

Previously, she worked at the United Nations where she led youth engagement strategies that significantly expanded youth participation in sustainability and international policy platforms. Her professional expertise lies at the intersection of education, youth leadership, and cross-sector partnership development.

Growing up between the United States and Japan as a third-generation descendant of an atomic bomb survivor, Jyuri’s commitment to peacebuilding is both personal and professional. She practices within the Soka Gakkai Buddhist tradition, a global lay movement grounded in humanistic values and dedicated to peace and social engagement. This philosophical foundation informs her approach to interfaith dialogue, emphasising trust-building, dignity, and long-term relationship development across differences.
