Between March 2020 and April 2021, ACWAY strengthened its global network of young interfaith leaders while adapting to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through virtual forums, community action grants, and digital engagement initiatives, ACWAY supported youth-led projects focused on peacebuilding, dialogue, and social inclusion across multiple countries.
During this period, ACWAY also enhanced its organizational structure, launched innovative digital engagement programs for fellows including ‘Fellow Talks’ webinars and an Interfaith Calendar initiative, and developed partnerships with international institutions such as the G20 Interfaith Forum, United Religions Initiative, and Religions for Peace. These efforts helped equip young changemakers with the skills, networks, and resources needed to lead multicultural and interfaith initiatives in their communities despite global lockdowns and physical distancing measures.
