IDG Goal: Goal 8 – Religion as a Tool for Peace
Recognising that people across different faiths often struggle to find like-minded community members with whom they can reflect on shared concerns, this gathering brought together 25 Christians and Bahá’ís of combined age groups to focus on one of society’s most pressing issues, the state of the family unit. The second in a series of gatherings held every six months, the event created a space for honest reflection on community development, with participants identifying a clear need for stronger youth education, both intellectual and moral, and a greater sense of social responsibility among young people. Beyond the conversation itself, the gathering served as a practical demonstration of what unity across faiths, race, and economic backgrounds can look like, planting seeds for a community that works collaboratively rather than in isolation.
