The G20 Interfaith Forum Youth Policy Brief presents a global youth-led perspective on key challenges and policy priorities ahead of the G20 Summit. Developed by ACWAY in collaboration with young interfaith leaders worldwide, the brief highlights the critical role of youth in promoting peace, social cohesion, and sustainable development.
Drawing on global consultations and youth engagement processes, the brief addresses pressing issues including access to education, employment, mental health, climate change, conflict, and participation in decision-making. It emphasizes the importance of integrating youth voices into policy development to ensure more inclusive and effective solutions.
The Policy Brief also offers practical recommendations for governments, faith actors, and civil society, such as promoting inclusive education, interfaith dialogue, youth empowerment, and cross-sector collaboration. It introduces the Interfaith Development Goals as a complementary framework to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, reinforcing the role of faith and cultural understanding in peacebuilding.
The brief calls for G20 leaders to invest in youth, strengthen their participation, and adopt forward-looking policies that empower young people as key agents of global change.
