Description

IDG Goal: Goal 5 – Protection of Women’s Dignity and Rights

At the University of Zagreb’s School of Medicine, 9 young women aged 18 to 24 came together for a workshop-playroom session centred on female empowerment and the influential women in history who are too often overlooked. Using board games borrowed from the Club of Young Technicians “Trešnjevka North” and donated by the Fierce Women organisation, and organised by CroMSIC, a medical student association,  the session was both educational and energising. Participants left surprised by how many women have shaped history and the present day without receiving due recognition, and felt more empowered to pursue their own ambitions in medicine and beyond. For the broader local community, the activity raised awareness of the Fierce Women board game as a practical tool for sensitisation around women’s issues, something participants were eager to share with others.
