Description

Social media has a great impact on young generation. Nowadays, our goal is to make sure that social media is used for spreading cultural understanding and diversity and not hate speech.

Main Aims

To show the world that religious prejudices are fiction and no hatred is welcomed by the 2017 youth. To make it obvious that we all believe in the same simple things, no matter how old or where we are from. 

Project summary

Instagram campaign for young people to share their beliefs and to show the world that youth around the world, despite being extremely diverse, have “common words”. Those are peace, love, friendship, family, etc.

  • Participants– young people from all over the world, who are willing to share their ideas and promote interfaith harmony.
  • When– the project started during interfaith harmony week (1-7 February) and will continue.
  • Where – Instagram page
  • How– Young people share their portrait picture and statements about what they believe in and what keeps them inspired. All the pictures are posted in @ibelievein2017 account

Project evaluation

About fifty young people shared their beliefs in the past three weeks. People from all parts of the world stood up for the promotion of interfaith harmony. There is a plan to keep the campaign alive and promote it in the various media sources.
