Description

The Project Inspire 2016 Conference was held on 17 July 2016 and brought together participants for a series of three expert-led talks focused on media, youth engagement, and peacebuilding.

The first session, ‘Future of Media,’ explored the evolving role of media and its impact on youth, delivered by Mr. Deependra Gauchan, Executive Producer at BBC Media Action. The second talk, ‘Promoting Peace through Social Media,’ highlighted how young people can use media platforms responsibly to promote peace and religious harmony, presented by Ms. Ung Chansophea of CTN and CNC. The third session, ‘Know Yourself, Know the World,’ emphasized critical thinking and self-awareness in media consumption, led by Mr. Tep Livina, Co-Founder and Brand Manager of Edniche English School.

The conference provided a platform for reflection on the power of media in shaping perceptions and behaviours, particularly among youth. It encouraged participants to adopt more responsible and informed approaches to media use, with a focus on fostering understanding, dialogue, and positive social change.
