The ACWAY Charter for Peace, adopted in November 2016 and revised in 2018, is a global youth-led declaration committed to promoting harmony and preventing conflict through intercultural and interfaith dialogue. Developed by ACWAY Youth Peace Ambassadors from around the world, the Charter reflects a shared vision of building inclusive, respectful, and peaceful societies.
Through its pledges, the Charter calls on young people to challenge prejudice, promote education and awareness, and act as responsible leaders within their communities. It also emphasizes the importance of using media and communication to spread messages of coexistence and mutual understanding.
The Charter further outlines recommendations for governments, institutions, and civil society to support interfaith dialogue, protect religious freedom, combat discrimination, and encourage youth participation in sustainable development. It serves as a call to action for youth worldwide to collaborate, take local action, and contribute to lasting global peace.
