OUR MISSION
The promotion of religious and cultural harmony by:
Educating
the public in different religious beliefs and cultures, conflict resolution methods, and human rights, gender and environmental perspectives in intercultural and interfaith activism
Promoting knowledge
mutual understanding and respect of the beliefs and practices of different faiths and cultures
Promoting activities
among young people to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds
Helping young people to advance in life through:
Providing support
for activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as active citizens.

Interfaith Development Goals
The Interfaith Development Goals (IDGs) were initiated to fill a gap in the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDG16 (peace, justice and strong institutions) addresses, essentially, political and human rights issues; abuse, exploitation, trafficking, promoting the rule of law, reducing illicit financial and arms flows, reducing corruption and bribery, but it does not address or make reference to inter religious and inter-cultural peace building.
Furthermore, the IDGs compliment the SDGs not only by including the interfaith sector but also by the fact that all 10 IDGs contribute and align with 5 of the SDGs (5, 10,11,16 &17).
The IDGs allow us to capture and demonstrate how religious, faith, spiritual and interfaith groups, their communities and leaders contribute to building peace and harmony around the world.
Charter for Peace
We pledge to combat prejudices and misconceptions that may arise or have arisen within our communities in relation to intercultural and interfaith communication;
We pledge to work for better education and awareness on interfaith and intercultural
coexistence, collaboration and diversity;
We pledge to be responsible leaders within our respective communities, working towards inspiring other youth and encourage more members to join the ACWAY cause; and
We pledge to use all forms of social media and communication in order to convey our
message of peace and coexistence.
